Four weeks.

That is the amount of time since I last posted here. Which probably explains why my Google Analytics are showing lower numbers than usual.

I'd post more, but I haven't really done anything substantial. Plus, I've been tweeting more and more, kind of reducing the purpose. (Did you know that my top five tweeted words are fun, good, tomorrow, played, and yay?)

I've done a few things though.

I've been to the cinema three times in the past two weeks, seeing Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince twice, and The Proposal once, and all of them were really good fun. The Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince game was alright, not as length as others in the series, but did fill in story bits that the movie obviously missed out. I've also started reading the Harry Potter books again, for fun. I'm also listening to the Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince soundtrack, as I'm awesome. It's awesome too. =)

School wise, I've been to two events, being the school's summer concert and the school's awards. Both were good fun, must say.

Open University wise, I've completed my second course today. Though the other had Molymod, this was more interesting. Really good fun, think I've done alright, but I probably did give up towards the end of the written questions.

That was because my iMac started dying strangely last night, which was probably the worst time it could have happened. But it did. The clicking sound that has existed for some time was getting quite a bit worse recently. However, last night, Leopard started crashing and restarting, and took about 10 minutes to boot up. And I'm getting errors on the Apple Hardware Test. So I'm gonna call AppleCare tomorrow and get it picked up or whatever happens with Apple servicing. Good job I bought the AppleCare when I did, really.

Oh, as well as calling AppleCare, I'll probably go into Cannock. Why? Because I love Twitter! I have somehow managed to successfully redeem two Marketplace codes for Gears of War 2. Though I don't own it, who would turn down a Gold-Plated Lancer which is like a limited edition exclusive, or the new All Front DLC (which contains 19 multiplayer maps and another campaign level) costing 1600 MSP. All through Twitter. I think those are the only codes I've gotten off Twitter, but they're pretty damn good. Anyway, because of owning all this content, and due to the fact that I'm running out of games, I'm gonna buy Gears of War 2, and some AA batteries from Home Bargains. The AA batteries because I think my dad is noticing the AA batteries are going quite quickly.

Ooh! I could buy a black Play & Charge Kit. Depends on the prices, I suppose.

Strange, my iMac has now been fine for the entire time of writing this post so far. I don't care, I still want it serviced. The clicking is pissing me off.

Firefox's British Dictionary is missing the word movie. Strange.

Anyway.

Found some old and fun DigiCook audio outtakes that once existed on digicook.co.uk, but that website ceases to exist. Anyway, here is the lemons outtakes: (mp3 link)

And here are just some more general outtakes: (mp3 link)

These are obviously in addition to the healthy extras we have on the DVD itself. Hah, Young Enterprise. What japes.

I may paint my room. The blue it currently is ain't too fun. Plus, there's dust everywhere, which ain't good.

Hmm.

I'm running out of things to say.

Oh!

YouTube. From our trip back home from the cinema when we saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, I recorded 30 minutes of video. From prom, I got about six. Put those together along with Katy Perry and you get my first YouTube video of July.

And the second one is when you just condense the video footage back from the cinema and have no other music on the back. Which is this one.

I think I'm done now.

I've missed posting. Might do it more if I was doing more interesting things. Oh well, results day in three weeks and Lostprophets in four, can't wait. =)

1Jul/09

The past week.

Starting with Thursday, Prom. Was a fabulous evening, meal was alright, tunes were fabulous, and more importantly I won the Accessorize award. Oh yes.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday went past quite quickly really. Most of the time was spent playing Monkey Island 2 and Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. And I've finished both of them. Starting Curse of Monkey Island later.

Yesterday was strange, had a fun time un-networking and re-networking in different areas, and being introduced into four new Playfish games. Which are very exciting. And addictive.

Today has been pretty boring too, however my 1 TB hard drive arrived and I have lots of space available to me for the first time in months. Lots of good times.

Boring week really.

Gig, day out and parties in the next few days though, so that should be fun.

Farewell!

16Jun/09

Happy happy happy! Exam eight.

Oh wow, that exam went so amazingly well. Compared to what I was expecting, anyway.

It wasn't so bad, to be honest. Some questions I just didn't get, and some questions I got completely the wrong answer, but for the majority of the paper I understood what was happening and got some plausible answers.

Happy!

Woo!

Plans for the future include: Clearing out all the crap I've collected from GWPAHS over the past seven years, finish writing this blog post, move the printer downstairs, clear out under my bed, clear out drawers and shelves, box my Wii so I can trade it in, scan everything into Delicious Library, re-read the Harry Potter books, finally finish FFVII and FFXII, tag every photo in my Flickr account (mainly Florida + Vegas, so many untagged), watch all the episodes of Mythbusters I have, catchup with Ugly Betty, catch up with Desperate Housewives, catch up with Big Brother, play The Sims 3 for a long time, sort out the genres on iTunes, have a go at C#/GameMaker, and think of more things to add to this list.

Eheh.

Farewell!

7Feb/09

The past week.

On Monday, I woke up and was told that school was not on, due to the snow, so I went back to sleep. A few hours later I was asked over to have snow-tastic fun in Cheslyn Hay. Sounds fun.

It took Matty and I an hour-ish to get from Norton to Tesco, then we found Aimee and Adam. We went over to some form of park and played on the swings, and threw snow at each other. Good times. Aimee did make a big snowball from our failed snowman, which was awesome.

Then we found Todd and Fran, and had more snow fun, which was fun. Then I missed my bus. That wasn't so good times. But then I was home soon enough, which was good. All in all, a good day of procrastinating from ICT coursework. The photos from there are on Flickr and Facebook.

Tuesday brought another day off due to the snow. And I did nothing all day.

Wednesday was a day at school for once. Funny thing being that I had only one lesson all day. Wednesday was awesome, as I got the £100 EMA bonus. Really didn't expect to get it, to be honest.

Another snow day on Thursday. Don't see why at all, to be honest. Glad that it made me miss three hours of Physics, however. Another day of doing nothing.

Back into school on Friday, and I actually had lessons today. Did little work, though, to be honest.

Saturday, well, today, went to Star City for Laser fun. It was. And since then, I've slept a bit, as I was exhausted due to running around like a maniac. Good times. I've also done no work.

Essentially, it's 105 hours exactly until I leave for Las Vegas, which means I have 105 hours (minus travel time to Machester Airport) to fully implement and test my database, which means I'm going to die. I probably should do some ICT of the publishing variety, as I'm a bit behind.

Oh well. I'm not going to do any now, as I'm off to play Audiosurf. Which means I have Sunday, well, tomorrow, and then after schools next week. I do hope that Monday is off school as it would provide me with time that I so desperately need.

Or, I could buy a netbook and do work in America.

I really do want a netbook. *sigh*

11Jul/08

What a week.

And it has been good.

Although I have learnt that Lawrence should never be let loose in a kitchen, Business Studies is boring, and other things.

Miserable first day on Monday, good curry though so it's all good. Plus, Monopoly was fun.

Silly Business Studies lecture on Tuesday, but our explore around the city centre was good, and Computer Science was awesome. And then I found out I still suck at bowling.

Chemistry on Wednesday was amazing, as all of the theory stuff actually makes sense. York Minster was also amazing, loads of awesome things around the place. The boat trip was also good, especially the mini-rave. I could also be tempted to say our journey home was fun, but that would be an absolute fabrication.

The Rock Adventure on Thursday was good and bad. Boring one hour journey there, as I fell asleep. Painful wall climbing, as I have eight mahossive scabs and one wrist cut, from where I was dragged around a corner. Scrambling was ace, a wonderful view that was awesome. Broke my camera though =/. Shorter journey back, which I managed to stay awake through.

The dinner on Thursday evening was also nice. Well. The soup and bread starter was lovely. For the main, the chicken was gorgeous, but the potatoes were undercooked, there was too little gravy, and the stuffing was a sausage slice.

The disco after that was mintage. Being as I was in shirt, tie, jacket, trousers, and Converse. Proper Doctor Who style. I think I'll repeat it next year, but get a Sonic Screwdriver, and some red Converse, as that would be lush. Not enough line dancing though, only the Cha Cha Slide. I still got right into it though. Great fun.

Friday morning was weird. Well, the night before, Add, Stu and I were playing Tekken and the like, then Stu fell asleep, and we tried to leave around 2:40am, but woke him up. Which is oops. Anyway, we went to pack, and I did so and was also reading stuff, and went to bed around 4:00am. At that point, I set my alarms to go off, but it turned out that they were set an hour too late, so I was just about on time, allbeit showerless and hairwashedlessness. Personal Statements session was okay, nothing new though. Just a bit hard to pay attention when we (Stu, Add and I, who cleared the bins, sorted the food and cupboards, and the like) were twenty minutes late and had less that five hours sleep.

Back home though now, and I've got all of the good, focused pictures on both my MySpace and my Flickr account. I'm also cutting some video footage together, and that should be done tommorow.

Sorted.

30Jun/08

Ooh eck.

Being on the run, as it were, isn't fun.

I'm sure she'll forget soon enough.

I feel like the biggest idiot.

I mean I feel like an idiot most days.

But today was special.

As it was about technology.

I have had no Growl notifications for roughly four months. I'm quite annoyed at this, as Growl is possibly one of the more awesome applications for the humble operating system I use.

After googling over these past three days (can't beat a long weekend) I appear to have found the problem.

I checked the "Hide all notifications..." checkbox.

One simple thing has caused me, well, not quite frustration, but annoyance, for months.

Still, I'm all revised for the mock tomorrow. I mean, I still think it's pointless, but if it helps for the greater good, which it probably will, provided it doesn't take months to mark, I'm all for it.

30Apr/08

Another C2 lesson gone.

Exam is in four weeks, and I've missed three C2 lessons over the past two weeks. Which really sucks.

Got a Bloomers and Tarts torpedo though, so it's all good.

21Apr/08

No school tommorow.

Hooray for failing heating systems. =D
