This weekend.

Well, this weekend has been alright.

Saturday was spent testing, drinking, and playing Rock Band. Good times really, mainly because of the drinking, Rock Band. Oh, and Britain's Got Talent, Ninja Warrior and Red Dwarf. It's all good.

However, my choice to do these activities until 7.00 am meant I got about three hours sleep, which was not good, as I needed to lots and lots of coursework. But I had a little sleep when I got home, and tested.

I spent bloody nine hours testing on Sunday. Gah, exhausting. But it's done now, which is awesome. I then spent until 3.30 am Monday morning documenting it. Being as I'd written out most of it as I'd lost access to Access last month, that didn't take so long, still a bit of a long process to take screenshots of everything, for the third time.

Oh well.

Today was okay, pretty much did nothing spectacular, apart from handing in a 106 page project to Mr. Hulme, which was awesome.

One bad thing about today was another HE CARD moan, which I still see as a pointless and futile waste of my time when in six weeks time I'm sitting exams. I appreciate we've had months to prepare, but I don't need to remind myself of what I've done, I've already done it, and being as my university choices do not care for the thing, I see it as pointless. Obviously, as do two thirds of the upper sixth.

Oh well.

8Feb/09

I actually spent all day doing ICT.

Well, most.

I also slept, ate and tried to get further on Elite Beat Agents.

I think I'm all caught up on Implementing, but I've got until Wednesday afternoon to fully test it.

After hearing what I've heard from my friends about testing, that just won't happen. Oh well, I'll try my hardest. =)

The past week.

On Monday, I woke up and was told that school was not on, due to the snow, so I went back to sleep. A few hours later I was asked over to have snow-tastic fun in Cheslyn Hay. Sounds fun.

It took Matty and I an hour-ish to get from Norton to Tesco, then we found Aimee and Adam. We went over to some form of park and played on the swings, and threw snow at each other. Good times. Aimee did make a big snowball from our failed snowman, which was awesome.

Then we found Todd and Fran, and had more snow fun, which was fun. Then I missed my bus. That wasn't so good times. But then I was home soon enough, which was good. All in all, a good day of procrastinating from ICT coursework. The photos from there are on Flickr and Facebook.

Tuesday brought another day off due to the snow. And I did nothing all day.

Wednesday was a day at school for once. Funny thing being that I had only one lesson all day. Wednesday was awesome, as I got the £100 EMA bonus. Really didn't expect to get it, to be honest.

Another snow day on Thursday. Don't see why at all, to be honest. Glad that it made me miss three hours of Physics, however. Another day of doing nothing.

Back into school on Friday, and I actually had lessons today. Did little work, though, to be honest.

Saturday, well, today, went to Star City for Laser fun. It was. And since then, I've slept a bit, as I was exhausted due to running around like a maniac. Good times. I've also done no work.

Essentially, it's 105 hours exactly until I leave for Las Vegas, which means I have 105 hours (minus travel time to Machester Airport) to fully implement and test my database, which means I'm going to die. I probably should do some ICT of the publishing variety, as I'm a bit behind.

Oh well. I'm not going to do any now, as I'm off to play Audiosurf. Which means I have Sunday, well, tomorrow, and then after schools next week. I do hope that Monday is off school as it would provide me with time that I so desperately need.

Or, I could buy a netbook and do work in America.

I really do want a netbook. *sigh*

The past three weeks.

Well. They've been full of ups and downs.

Basically exams the first week. Not helped by the chest infection I had.

In a nutshell;

  • General Studies ended up with me giving up due to not understanding the questions, plus the lack of care I have for the qualification.
  • My ICT resit, which I think went really, really well.
  • The Thursday afterwards brought the joy of Mathematics for Core 3, which went badly.

Next up were people's birthdays.

Jimmy's Birthday meal at Jimmy Spices was highly enjoyable. So much food. That was tasty and infinite. I'd like to go back, I must say.

And then Lozza's Birthday Party at Lozza's house was fun. Lots of fun photos. Fun times.

However, after these fun events, I was back into exams.

This week of exams,  in a nutshell;

  • My Statistics Resit was awesome, I got lots of marks, and was overall happy with the paper. However, damn you Rohit.
  • Physics doesn't warrant a conversation.

So overall, for the five exams in January, the only worthwile ones were the ones that I had underperformed in before. This does not bode well for PA07/W, PA07/P, PA10, C4, M1 [maybe, I have most of the prior knowledge from PA02 (that I failed previously)], and ICT4.

Between Physics on Wednesday and being back to school on Monday, I spent most of my time with an open (well, hidden) piece of ICT coursework. I also went for a meal, spent a day out with the family, and slept a lot. To be honest, I could have been a bit more productive.

Then we're into last week, which has been the first full week back for a while. Which is actually a good thing, as out of the last six EMA payments, I recieved one. I hope so much that I get this EMA bonus this week, or else I can't do anything. Crap, forgot about Leaver's Hoodie Money. =(

Anyway, my lack of productivity and attendance was hardly noticed, as I'm now caught up with everything new started in Mechanics and Core 4, got all the materials I need for Physics and started to catch up on ICT coursework and timed exam work. Which, according to the time plan I started three hours ago, I'm already ahead of myself.

Also last week, I have determined I have many frees. With General Studies being pushed off, I have a total of 22 hours every two weeks with no scheduled lessons. Good fun.

I also set my highest QWOP score of 70.6m which is running properly, and an Impossible Quiz 1 score of Q91.

Exciting party in the form of Jay's party yesterday, which was awesome. Lots of choones.

One thing I have identified in the past week is how much work, and by work I mean ICT, I have to do before I go to Las Vegas in nine days. I should probably start Task Five, actually, as it's due in today. Oh well, I fails. At least I have some Galaxy, Skins and QI to keep me entertained as I think about starting working. Mebbeh.

29Jan/09

I should do some ICT.

MIDI tunes and QWOP is much more attractive.

Hmm.

Wow.

I guess this is what a hangover feels like.

And I don't think it's going to help my S1 revision. That I haven't started yet.

Damn.

oh my

Scoochscoochscoochscoochscooch.

Was amazing. Seriously.

Walking out on stage and then doing the routine that we'd been practicing for the past two months was just immense. And the ping pong bats! And the aisles! And the offering of something to suck on for landing!

Someone could have told me my mic cable was where it was though. But other than that, it was amazing. But to be honest, I don't really care about that. As it was just amazing.

Pretty good day, too. Maths in lesson one canceled for our teacher's dentist appointment. So I helped Lozza not die setting up lights, and stuck up the marvellously drawn, painted, and cut out Pudsey's on the back curtain whilst standing upon a questionable chair.

Lesson two was ICT. Yeah, no comment. Mock. That's it.

Lesson three was more Children in Need. Got mic'd up, ate, practiced, waited.

Lunch was it. Watched Kevin, the teachers performing Thriller (who were quite amazing to be honest), Sam and Andy, the upper sixth girls, from the lighting box. Very fun. Then during the penultimate act, we stood in the sidelines waiting. And there were lots of screams. Lots. Obviously they all want Mr. Coombes or Mr. Lownes. Who knows.

Then it was us. And we got clapped. We didn't even have to prompt. It was amazingness. And then in the aisles, I saw my two maths teachers from last year. That was fun. =)

And then it was YMCA. God, that's a bloody long song. Especially when you're performing with ping pong bats, have Adam Biddulph in the very middle of the seats taking photos, not sure which way round to perform the C, not knowing how to finish, and having been on stage for far too long under heavy theatre lighting. Very sweaty. Not so sexy.

Another congrats to Rachel by the way, an amazing concert you organised. =D

Lesson four was recovering from the concert. It was neccessary, to be honest. Everyone signed a Pudsey, I sent a copy of my personal statement to Mrs. Kearsey with a smiley face in it, printed off and handed in ICT coursework, and ate some cake.

Lesson five was maths. And only one hour later, I cannot remember a word of what was taught. Not a single one. I know it was about trig, but I remember more the constant playing of Hot 'n Cold as Jenny's ring tone, as she could not reach her phone to disable said ring tone. Then constant bleeps for text messages. Good times.

Children in Need later, should be good fun. Always is. =)

12Nov/08

Yay Wrath.

I am enjoying how it most certainly wasn't opened on midnight, rather two hours or so before. That means Horde-free areas, to be honest.

Looks sexy, also. Fun areas.

However, second new game this week. And I have two more to go. =( My wallet hurts.

Lol at the currency rates.

Audiosurf for me yesterday: £1.93

Audiosurf, gifted to Aimee just now: £1.94

How uneven. =O

6Nov/08

ICT.

Change management. Heh.

Coursework. Heh.

That is all I have to say really.

Should be a fun day tomorrow. If I recall correctly, I have rice to eat, Children in Need to start finalising our routine to, and something else that wasn't so fun. Maybe more change management and coursework? Heh. Who knows.

Well, I should. *cough*

Mmm, Minibix.
